Signs of the Times

True faith possesses unfailing courage. In the presence of adversities, difficulties, hardships, or calamities, "the soul that on Jesus leans for repose" finds strength and confidence.

A vast amount of fear pervades the world. Doubtless some church organizations and church members share in the distrust and weakness which it produces. The whole tenor of the Christian life, including progress in spiritual experience, the food of prayer, the vision of truth, and the fellowship in worship, tends to demolish fear and to increase the triumphant courage of every believer.
