It is such a joyous privilege to testify to the healing...
It is such a joyous privilege to testify to the healing power of Christian Science that I should like to share the blessings that have come to me and mine.
A week prior to the expected birth of a child, a heavy double window became detached and fell on my head from quite a height, knocking me over. I seemed to be losing consciousness when a servant inquired whether a physician should be called. Quick as a flash our six-year-old son standing near replied, "You'd have to get him first, but God's here already." This so clearly brought the realization of the ever-presence of God to my thought that I did not lose consciousness; and, thanks to the loving help of a practitioner, not the slightest phase of error was manifested.
Upon another occasion, when one of our sons had a very high fever and excessive pains in his ear and had lost his hearing, I was prevented from being at his bedside all the time owing to other duties. I lifted my thought in prayer, knowing that our heavenly Father cares for all His children and that His love would so illumine the consciousness of the child that the healing would occur independently of my presence. Upon returning to his room a short time later, I found this little tot of six years with the question on his lips, "Mother, didn't God first create the light and man afterwards?" I replied in the affirmative, to which he said, "Well, mother, then there can't be anything dark or unclear in my ears." We held to this affirmation of the truth and by evening the discordant conditions had entirely disappeared.
