Christian Science—Revealed Truth

IN "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 107) Mrs. Eddy says, "God had been graciously preparing me during many years for the reception of this final revelation of the absolute divine Principle of scientific mental healing."

Likewise, we need preparation to receive this revelation in Christian Science that we may understand Preparation always requisite for accomplishment. To understand the divine Principle of scientific mental healing, therefore, requires much preparation before one's thought becomes fully receptive. Whoever has accomplished anything worth while has always spent much effort in preparation; we find this to be true throughout all human history. Spiritualization of thought constitutes receptivity, and is indispensable to the accomplishing of healing.

Included in this mental preparation must be the recognition that Christian Science is the revealed truth, and Mrs. Eddy its revelator. It is the clearest and most comprehensive revelation of the truth set forth by Christ Jesus that the world has ever known. We know it is the truth because it can be demonstrated. It is the final revelation. There can be no higher revelation, and no other revelator. In Science and Health (p. 174) our Leader states: "Truth is revealed. It needs only to be practised."
