Over two years ago I received my first help in Christian Science. In 1879, while living in the South, I had the "yellow fever" in a very malignant form, and an obstinate bowel disorder with hemorrhoids was a result. I suffered more or less for years from many other physical ills,—asthma, heart trouble, a bad cough which we felt was settling in my lungs, also headaches that caused me to endure days of agony and which were relieved only by the use of an anesthetic. During all those years from 1879 to July, 1908, I was continually under the treatment of different physicians. I have not, however, had a return of any of these ailments since the first treatment in Christian Science, except that I sometimes have a slight headache, the dreadful suffering being a thing of the past.

I feel that in time a clearer understanding of Christian Science and more faith in God, Spirit, will enable me to realize the nothingness of all discord, and I am truly thankful to God for my healing in Christian Science.
