During the winter one of the girls in the home of which I am matron became severely afflicted with a skin disease which spread rapidly over the body, also the head. It caused her much suffering, besides great mortification. We employed a physician, but she received no help from him, and continued to grow rapidly worse until the poor child became discouraged and said she wished she could have Christian Science treatment. I did not know to whom I could apply, because it was a case of charity; but I knew that divine Love would meet the need, and it was met.

The same morning, after attending Christian Science services, one of the ladies asked me why this girl had not attended a birthday party given for the inquirer's little daughter. I told her that she was in such a condition that she was ashamed to go out. The lady immediately replied that her daughter who had recently had class teaching would be glad to take the case, and before leaving the building arrangements to that effect had been made. Under the treatment of this most kind lady, in a short time the girl was completely healed, her skin being as soft as a baby's, without a scar or blemish. Not only for the physical healing are we thankful, but for the sweet spirit she shows in her daily life, for she is a changed girl.
