It is over nine years since I first became interested in Christian Science, and I wish to express publicly my gratitude for the many blessings I receive each day through the study and application of its teachings. My first healing was through absent treatment, after I had given up hope of being cured by materia medica. The trouble was a serious case of nervous breakdown, and the attending doctor told me I need never expect to be myself again. After this assurance I did not wish to recover, but my daughter came to me from an adjoining town, and after telling me of her healing by Christian Science said she wished to call a practitioner for me. I consented, and in a few days was perfectly healed. This healing was very wonderful to me, and it seems to me now that I only really began to live at that time. My life prior to my healing is like a bad dream of disease and suffering.

Christian Science has been our only physician since my first healing, and both disease and the results of accident have been dispelled for myself and family. Best of all, I have found God, and am beginning to understand a child's relation to its real Father,—a relation of love. Words fail to express my gratitude to God for this truth, which has taught me the way to help myself and others. I am also grateful to our Leader, who has made it possible for this age to understand and demonstrate the Christ-teaching. My prayer is for an understanding heart, that I may be able to do my part in the great work and thereby in a measure make some recompense for the good I have received.—SARAH FISCHEL, Pittsburg, Pa.

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and for my family. As for myself, two years ago I was a nervous wreck, unable to think long enough to accomplish anything about my work as a carpenter, which required both energy and confidence. These I tried to regain by using medicine, but as I gradually grew worse, I thought that perhaps it was God's will I should pass away. Those were very dark hours for me; but only sufferers who have been led out of darkness into light can imagine how I felt when, after four treatments in Christian Science, I was again a well man. Through the reading of Science and Health, which I have found to be most truly a "Key to the Scriptures," I have found that no matter what problem comes up, I have God to look to for help, and as an honest seeker, I find that we do not look in vain.
