It is nearing six years since my first healing in Christian Science. At that time I was utterly discouraged, for after being under the care of a specialist for two years the condition of the stomach was not improved. Previous to treatment under this specialist I had carefully tried osteopathy with no result. Acting upon the advice of a friend, I went to a Christian Science practitioner, and from the first treatment I was able to eat whatever was set before me with no return of discomfort or suffering. The treatments were continued for ten days, as a bowel disorder and frequent bilious attacks had accompanied the other trouble. I have never taken any kind of medicine or used any material means since that first treatment. I had worn glasses for ten years, and had just had a new prescription filled for another pair when they were broken one Sunday morning. I telephoned the practitioner who had treated me a month previously and asked her to treat me for the headache which always resulted from not wearing glasses. I had no ill effects from their non-use, but because of my ignorance of Christian Science had them fixed the next day. I however found that I no longer needed to use them, the one absent treatment having overcome the sense of defective vision, also a muscular trouble for which at various times four of our leading oculists had treated me.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the dear Leader who so faithfully blazed the way that a knowledge of the true God, a God of Love, might be ours. I am sincerely thankful for all the blessings which have come to me since I have been a student of Christian Science; for the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which has made the Bible teaching practical, and applicable to my every-day needs.
