Christian Science came to me over eleven years ago, since which time I have depended upon it for every need. I was sick and out of business, and in despair began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, through the reading of which I was healed. About two months after I began to read this book I was able to return to work. I continued to read until I was completely healed, which consumed a period of about a year from the time I first began this study. The physical healing was the overcoming of a complete breakdown from hereditary conditions, aggravated by living the life of what is termed a "good fellow." With this healing was also overcome the fear of taking cold on all occasions, as every winter I had been confined to my bed from one to three weeks at a time with severe colds. Since taking up Christian Science I have been kept from my business but once, and then only for three days.

All of this I am most grateful for, but for the spiritual uplift and for learning to know God as a God at hand, as a power in my daily life and available for every need, is beyond words to tell. During these years I have found the Sentinel, Journal, Quarterly, and now the Monitor, wonderful helps in unfolding more and more of this infinite divine Principle. I am grateful to God for this healing truth which is indeed "for the healing of the nations," and also to Mrs. Eddy, who was good and courageous enough to give us Science and Health, which has opened up the Scriptures and shown us a practical, available, demonstrable Truth and most loving God.
