Mrs. Eddy never claimed to be anything more or less than the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. She was simply the avenue through which Christ's Christianity is being revealed and repeats the ancient work of Christian healing. This healing is not only physical but moral, and is found making better men and better women. The Scripture says, "By their fruits ye shall know them," and her life-work has brought forth the fruits of righteousness to a greater degree than that of any other religious leader of modern times. It does not need arguments or discussions to sustain this fact, as the most evident results to be seen in all parts of the civilized world bear eloquent testimony of the truth of these assertions. These good fruits should forever forbid discourteous and unjust criticism of Mrs. Eddy. Nowhere in all of her life has she sought to do any one harm, and she always returned good for evil.

Christian Science does not teach that in the human sense of the term "there is no sickness." Disease and inharmonious conditions are not overlooked by Christian Science, but they are scientifically overcome.
