One day last winter, while hurrying down a steep street,...

One day last winter, while hurrying down a steep street, I had a bad fall, and in a short time my back began to pain me. The next day I was so ill that I could not even turn in bed. and there were other evidences of severe injury. A friend of ours, a Christian Scientist, came at my request; she treated me and talked to me for a short time, and after she had been gone a few minutes I tried to get up, and found that I could do so without the least pain and could even stoop and lace my shoes. From that time I never felt any sense of pain.
