After having been treated under materia medica for several years without any permanent benefit, I at last turned to Christian Science and was healed of severe catarrhal trouble in less than one week, although I took treatment for three weeks before I was thoroughly convinced that I was permanently healed. In realizing that God is no respecter of persons, I felt that I, too, could learn to help myself and others. I then began the study of Christian Science in earnest, and have been studying it for eleven years.

I have found this truth an ever-present help, not only in the healing of physical disease, but in destroying every erroneous thought. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" has taught me that the indulgence of evil thoughts is sin; that such thinking engenders disease, induces sickness, and leads to death; while the persistent thinking of good thoughts, and the doing of good deeds, destroys sin and disease, heals us, and leads to immortality, through the renewing of the mind. I am indeed grateful to God, who has given to us our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and the blessings of this healing truth.
