From now on there will be but one Christian Science church in Cedar Rapids. Last evening [Jan. 6] First and Second churches effected a union which will be an entirely new organization. Each church formally disorganized for the purpose of uniting as one; and all money, property, and belongings of each was made over to the new church, which will be called First Church of Christ, Scientist.

Following the disorganization of both churches a union meeting was held, a new charter and new by-laws being adopted and a complete set of new officers elected. On Sunday morning next the new First Church of Christ, Scientist, will hold services at the Majestic at eleven o'clock; and both former congregations will be united as one, with the addition of a number who were not members of either of the old organizations.—Cedar Rapids Gazette.
