Christian Science yields to no other religion greater recognition of the value to humanity of the experience of the Nazarene, and the effort of Mrs. Eddy has been to help mankind to understand it from the standpoint that he was applying an understanding of God as ever present and all powerful. This knowledge of God is Science in the true sense of the word, and explains the operation of His law of good. It is most important, in fact it is necessary, to understand a science in order to demonstrate it, and this involves naturally a consideration of the principal as well as the minor features indicated in Jesus' experience. The Science of salvation is set forth in the Bible, and the object of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, is to help the individual to understand the Bible better, and thus prove for himself that God is ever present and all powerful. Good intentions are all right as far as they go, it is good to emphasize the necessity of right living, but what has been lacking, and what is supplied through Christian Science, is the spiritual understanding of God's law and its operation, so that the good we desire is made available.
