I have long felt it a duty to express through our periodicals my gratitude for the many benefits that Christian Science has brought to me and mine, as I have much to be thankful for. The first demonstration made in my family without the help of a practitioner was six years ago. While I was standing on a fence I lost my balance and fell heavily, injuring myself severely. I at once declared the truth to the best of my understanding, and when I reached the house I read Science and Health. I had no other help, and was well in a few weeks. Since then I have relied upon Christian Science for help, and have not found it wanting when faithfully applied. Coughs, fevers, etc., have been overcome in my family.

The most remarkable cases of healing were during 1908. One was that of my little boy. He stepped on a thorn in July, but it did not trouble him much for over a week and then he began to complain. I dressed and attended to his foot, but could not find the thorn. I then had a doctor open it. He also had absent treatment in Christian Science, but at the end of two weeks his foot seemed to be worse and he was in a bad condition, as it then seemed, in every way. He had no rest and was so thin that I was almost afraid to start with him to a practitioner, but as soon as I could get the consent of my husband we took the child to the home of the practitioner and remained four days. We returned home on Sunday, and on Monday he could bear some weight on his foot, and the following day he could walk. He improved from that time, and in less than two months was well.

The other case was the healing of our little girl in September of what seemed to be a congestive attack. One morning early, she had a spasm. At first I was not much alarmed, but as she did not get over it, I was so overcome with fear that I telephoned for a practitioner, who, as she could not come, gave her absent treatment. The child could not speak until midnight and then she only answared when spoken to. The next morning she appeared to be better, but did not seem quite rational for a few days. She was, however, healed entirely in a very short time. For all this, and much more that I could tell, I am thankful to God, also to Mrs. Eddy, who has brought to us this truth.—Mrs. Rosa Jones, Lewisville, Tex.
