It is with gratitude and love that I give the following testimony. Christian Science has done so much for me that I scarcely know what to say. Having been told over two years ago that I could never be a well woman, in my despair I was led through the wish of a cousin to try Christian Science. For eighteen years I had been a constant and intense sufferer with headaches, besides stomach, kidney, and abdominal troubles. I had tried various doctors, some of the best that could be employed, but none of them could give me any permanent relief. After four weeks' treatment in Christian Science, I can truthfully say that I am well, and stronger than I have been for more than eighteen years.

I had always tried to look to God for help, but my spiritual vision had been dimmed. I could not understand how He could be a God of love, and yet permit me to go through such deep waters of affliction. The physical healing is naturally a great deal to me, but far greater is the better understanding of a God who is good, one who does not send sickness and pain. Only the Giver of "every good gift and every perfect gift" could have provided Christian Science for our healing. I gladly join with other Scientists in trying to realize the day when all shall know God and Christian Science; when heaven will have come, and God's will be done on earth as in heaven. The light of Life now guides and illumines my path each day. I feel that I cannot be grateful enough to God, and to Mrs. Eddy; and that each thought as it enters my mental door should be one of love and thanksgiving. If we try to follow our Leader's example, and live up to our highest understanding of good, we can help all those whom our lives touch.

I am indeed grateful to the Publishing Society, and also for our Lesson-Sermons and for every thought that has helped me to find the truth.
