Christian Scientists everywhere will rejoice to hear of the new approach to The Mother Church—the beautiful new park which extends across the front of the church edifice and the publishing house, and opens through to the next parallel street. It is apparent that the two broad walks leading directly across this park, from the street-cars to the church, will prove a great convenience, and that much skill in landscape gardening has been displayed in the effects produced by sunken lawns, trees, shrubs, and vines is equally apparent.

Dearer, however, than all this, to the heart of the Christian Scientist, is the thought of the thousands of cases of healing by the power of divine Truth, as brought to humanity in our Leader's inspired teachings, and that these healings are directly responsible for the edifice itself as well as for the new approach to it. The Christian Scientist knows that the stately, unhurried progress of the Christian Science movement precludes the supposition that this last visible unfolding of utility and beauty is anything less than the scientific manifestation of another established fact in human consciousness—even the fact of a broader, more joyous recognition and acceptance of the message of Christian Science. It is but a wider opening of the "gates," that the "King of glory" may come in and abide with us.
