It has long been my wish to give thanks publicly for the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh," and I gladly state that I have become well physically since I began to be interested in Christian Science three years ago; but above all, through the study and assimilation of this glorious truth I have regained energy, buoyancy, and joy of life.

At the time I went to Dresden I suffered physically and was weighed down mentally through the loss of what seemed to be the dearest object of my life. Although I had always stood firmly by the church in which I had been brought up, the understanding of God's essential nature and man's relation to Him only became clear to me through Christian Science; and although formerly I sought comfort in Paul's saying that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us, yet I believed these words to refer to the stage beyond the experience which we term death. Now I know and have the proof in daily experience that this glory is being revealed to us here and now if we forget those things which are behind and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling. Glory and praise be therefore to God, who healeth all our diseases, who maketh us happy, and causeth our strength to be renewed like the eagle's—and thanks to that revered woman, Mrs. Eddy, for her unselfish and tireless work.
