I wish to bear witness to the healing and saving power of Christian Science. With me the power of Truth has been demonstrated in mental purification and regeneration chiefly; I will say, however, that all my physical needs and those of our family in this particular have been supplied.

I will mention one case of healing which meant a great deal to me. I was seized with very alarming symptoms, which seemed to develop rapidly, and before I had time to work for myself I needed the help of a practitioner, which was secured at once. During the treatment I fell asleep, and when I awoke I felt as though I had been made over, but as some of the symptoms still seemed severe, I was treated again that evening, and on waking the next morning I knew that the disease had been conquered. The fever had disappeared, but it seemed to have left me in a weakened condition, and the so-called after effects which appeared, seemed even harder to overcome. What most impressed me, however, was the wonderful effect of the first two treatments. It seemed as though a mighty power were lifting me right out of sickness into health, which was, indeed, the case. The year previous to this I had had an attack quite similar to the one described, seeming to manifest all the symptoms of acute lung trouble, and just as quick a healing was accomplished through Christian Science, except that there were no after effects. In each case I missed two days from work, but I knew that under medical treatment I should probably have been confined to my bed for weeks.

In our home the change effected through Christian Science has been wonderful. The children used to have colds and all sorts of aches and pains at certain seasons of the year, but these are now things of the past; or, at least, if any such things do come up, they are quickly overcome by Truth. The moral and spiritual awakening brought to its students by Christian Science has lifted me out of many bad habits and sins formerly supposed to be pleasurable, but which would now bring no sense of pleasure to me. All of the publications of the Christian Science cause are received and read in our home, and those of us who study them get great help in our efforts to do right. I am sincerely and humbly grateful that the great light of divine Truth has been revealed to us through Mrs. Eddy, and I am grateful for the privilege of being a Christian Scientist, of following Christ, a privilege our unselfish Leader has lived so nobly to give us. God does bless all righteous effort and give it eternal victory.
