I had recently an occasion to prove the efficacy of Christian Science as a therapeutic agent, also occasion to be grateful for the privilege of being a student of a science that helps every one who puts it into practice, not only in the way of spiritual uplift, but by the healing of the ills to which the flesh seems heir. I was cleaning something with an acid, but did not know that it was supposed to injure one if externally used. My hands became saturated with the acid, and although I washed them, they began to burn and to pain me excruciatingly. I then sat down and tried to realize that God is the only power and that the law of divine Mind is ever harmonious in its action. I told no one of the occurrence until an hour afterward, and then the demonstration had been made. During that hour I worked continually with both hands. All sense of pain, numbness, and discoloration was destroyed. I am indeed grateful for this added proof that Truth is all powerful.
