I have received many benefits through Christian Science, physically, morally, and spiritually. About three and a half years ago I was suffering from what seemed to be a nervous collapse, and was taken to a sanitarium, as my mind was almost a blank. I was there only about two weeks when I was taken home. My dear wife had been corresponding with a Christian Science practitioner, and a short while thereafter I was able to resume work at the printing business. While I am thankful for this and for other physical healing, I am most grateful that I am now a much better man, that now my deeds are open and I have nothing hidden from God. It was not always so.

Our daughter was also healed through Christian Science on several occasions. Once, while living at Pleasant Ridge, O., there was a scare of small-pox in the village, and one day during this time I received word by telephone from my wife to send a message to the practitioner who had helped me, to treat our daughter; and I did, though not knowing what the trouble was. When I got home in the evening my wife told me that she had noticed an eruption on the girl's face when she awoke that morning which frightened her, but when a letter from the practitioner arrived the child was well, all symptoms having disappeared. At another time, while living where we do now, she was again attacked by illness. When I came home one evening my wife requested me to go down town and send a message to the practitioner, which I did. I also sent a note by mail, mentioning the mother's fear of acute lung trouble. In a few days thereafter, on the arrival of a letter, my wife's fear was all gone, and the child well.
