It is with hearts filled with gratitude that we wish to testify to the healing of our seven-year-old child through Christian Science. The child was taken ill with bronchitis and rheumatism. The physician's treatment brought no relief, but the condition rather grew worse, till the child would neither eat nor drink, but lay in bed like a deformed creature, and was given up by every one, no hope whatever being held out to us. We did not give up, however, but sought Christ Jesus and his light, for there was no other help. We asked for help in Christian Science, and after the first treatment the child improved wonderfully, began to eat and drink, and in two weeks' time was able to walk a little; whereas the physician had told us that we might expect the disease to be of long duration. In a short time the child was absolutely well, which seemed a miracle to everybody. As the result of our daily experiences we praise Christian Science and give God the glory.

It has been my desire for some time to express through the Sentinel my sincere gratitude for the overcoming of fear. To me it means as much as the healing of a physical trouble. I had a great sense of fear at being left alone after dark, and so asked for Christian Science treatment. I now feel that I have received a great blessing which words cannot express, and a sense of thankfulness to our Leader naturally follows, for having made clear to our understanding the Master's promise, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
