Many years ago, before Christian Science was practised in this city, I was suffering from what is called the after-effects of diphtheria, which the doctor did not help. A friend who heard of Christian Science in Boston, advised my sister to try it, telling her of the lady here who, though not a practitioner, was able to help others by the understanding gained through reading Science and Health. I applied to her for help, and was quickly healed. I was also healed instantly of toothache. Since then I have had untold benefit in every way.

I rejoice in the study of the truth, brought to us by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, in her books, Science and Health, and "Miscellaneous Writings." My heart is filled with gratitude to her for all God has enabled her to do in establishing this saving religion, Christian Science.
