I came to Christian Science because I was hungering and...
I came to Christian Science because I was hungering and thirsting for love, and for a religion which I could understand, as something seemed to be lacking. One trouble after another came to make me fearful and sad, and finally there came an hour which brought more than I could bear, which seemed to crush my very soul. It was then that I turned to God, asking to have His way revealed to me, to have the raging waves stilled, and there came the "Peace, be still." It was then I first learned of Christian Science, and for five months I read Science and Health. I had some beautiful demonstrations of the power of divine Love from the very first. I had found the Love for which I had been looking. Although I have had trials and trouble, my heart no longer feels the sharp stings and aches, for Love is always with me to brighten all my paths and wipe away all my tears. I have been a constant student of the Bible and Science and Health for over five years, and my family is gradually coming into this Science; so my prayers are being answered, one by one. I am thankful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for Science and Health, for what it has done for me and mine.
Mrs. J. Luella Vinson, Portland, Ore.
