I have desired for some time to send a testimony, telling of the power of Truth, and of what Christian Science has done for me. I was a total wreck, as I had a severe cough, besides asthma, cramps, and many other ailments. I tried everything I heard of, but found no relief. I had almost a drug store in my house, and had employed several doctors, but they said they could not help me. They told my friends that I could not last long. I had these complaints about fifteen years and grew worse all the time. I was a member of an orthodox church, and asked some of the pastors why it was that God would not hear my prayers. They said, "Your faith is not strong enough." They would tell me to trust God, and if it was His will He would help me: but I found no help until I heard of Christian Science and took treatment. In three days I was healed of my cough, cramps, and pains, and slept all night without being propped up in bed. This was in July, 1900, and there has been no return of these troubles, for which I thank God. I have used no material remedies since. I have had some good demonstrations of the power of Truth over error, and I desire to know more of divine Truth.

I feel grateful for Christian Science, and to Mrs. Eddy, our dear Leader, who has labored so hard to give us this truth which proves that God is an ever-present help and that sin and sickness are not real.
