De Malanger

With reference to an article on cancer, appearing in De Malanger of January 28, I beg you kindly to give me an opportunity in your paper to clear Christian Science from the attack made at random by the humanitarian writer and to prevent confusion. Speaking about the "outgrowths" hindering an effectual fighting of cancer, he says, "The belief in miracles of certain methods such as Christian Science, does the same."

Christian Science, or the divine law of Life, Truth, and Love, is not a belief in miracles, but the final revelation of the absolute divine Principle of scientific mental healing as demonstrated by Christ Jesus more than nineteen centuries ago. This Science was discovered anew by Mary Baker Eddy in 1866; and after thorough and most devoted study of the Bible and the broadest tests, she gave it to the world in her textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

Christian Science has millions of followers, many of whom have experienced healings of disease, such as cancer, tuberculosis, rheumatism, diabetes, liver and heart complaints, and other diseases, some of which had been called incurable.
