Gratitude for all the good that Christian Science has brought to me prompts me to give this testimony. Eight years ago, when I first heard of Christian Science, I was suffering from lung and pleural catarrh, which materia medica had failed to heal. Through someone's kindness I was given a Herold. When I had studied this periodical I turned to a Christian Science practitioner. Thanks to treatment so lovingly given, and through the study of Christian Science literature, I was completely healed of this complaint. Six years ago, when I sprained an ankle, I again turned to divine Love. With the help of a loving practitioner, and confident of response, I was healed in a very short time.

The truth of the words, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness," was also proved in the following instance. I was taken with an intestinal complaint which, seemingly, I could not overcome with my little understanding. Through loving treatment I was healed in three days. I should also like to mention how I was freed from depressing thoughts. Some time ago something happened in business which caused me mental distress and worried me for about a week. However, a redeeming angel came to me in the form of the January, 1926, Herold. In one of the editorials, "Divine Love's Sufficiency," we read: "But what should one do should he happen to find himself beset by circumstances which appear to be deeply afflictive? He can be certain that divine Love is present with him to deliver him from all his distresses, be their nature what it may." As suddenly as light dispels darkness, just as suddenly was I freed from the false arguments. A priceless sense of calm and peace came over me.

For these proofs of divine Love and Truth I am sincerely grateful to God. I also think of the loving practitioner with gratitude for the help she gave me, as well as of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the teachings she revealed to us. Let us rejoice that in Christian Science we have a teaching to which we can turn in order to be free from all that is illegitimate.
