When our baby was fourteen months old she was taken with a severe cold, which later developed into acute lung trouble. Under the care of a physician she was apparently cured in about three weeks, but caught cold again and kept getting worse. The doctor told us she had congestion of the lungs, and at last a swelling formed back of the ear. The doctor said the congestion had settled there, and that if a specialist could not break it up an operation on her head would be necessary. One night we thought she was going to pass on, so we decided to try Christian Science. She was treated by a practitioner and was almost instantly healed. The fever went down and never returned. She had treatment the two following days, but more to remove my fear than for anything else, as she was perfectly well.

Christian Science has freed me from fear, made my life more pleasant and harmonious, made me a better wife and mother, and taught me to look to God for all my needs. For these and many other blessings I offer this testimony, with the thought that it may help some other mother who through fear and lack of knowledge may be holding back herself and her child from the everlasting good and help of Christian Science.—Maude E.
