It has been a year and a half since I became interested in Christian Science, and we received a great blessing at that time. In February we had parted with a dear baby girl ten months old. I wanted to have Science treatment for her, but did not seem able to turn from my nurse and doctor. About five weeks later another little girl, then about two years old, seemed to be going with the same trouble, as both children had started to cough about the same time in September. The doctor said nothing but fresh air would do the child any good, so I took her home, feeling as though all hope were gone, for the rest of the family did not want Science.

In a few days the child was so ill we had to call the doctor. I followed his directions carefully, but at noon one day my mother said, "I think she is going just the way the baby did." I replied that I thought so too, and she then said, "Let's try Science." I was very glad to hear those words, and immediately called up a practitioner in Boulder, about twelve miles from where we then lived. I turned from the telephone with a much lighter heart than I had had for a good many weeks, for I was assured of God's all-power. In twenty-four hours the cough was gone, and in four days the child was well. Toothache has been quickly overcome for her, and a hip trouble resulting from a fall. This had happened on Friday, and every little while she would say that it hurt her to walk. On Sunday afternoon the hip gave her a good deal of trouble, and in the night she cried out when she moved. The next morning she could not get out of bed, so I called a practitioner, who told me I might have a surgeon examine her unless the demonstration was instantaneous. I had gone to a neighbor's house to telephone, and when I got home the little girl had walked out to the kitchen and by night was dancing around. She is now almost five years of age and is the healthiest child in the neighborhood. She took cold when she had the measles a short time ago, and had croup, but it was overcome in a very short time. She was not in bed one day with the measles.

We are very grateful for Christian Science. I shall always turn to God for all my help.
