Words fail me when I attempt to express my gratitude...

Words fail me when I attempt to express my gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done for me and my family. It was about nine years ago that it was brought to us by a dear friend who was a practitioner. My wife had been a great sufferer from a bowel disorder, and had tried some of the best doctors to be found, but with only temporary relief. I was at that time away from home, working at the mines, and when my wife told me that she had taken up Christian Science I ridiculed it, having no faith in it at the time, and told her that if I thought she needed a doctor I would surely bring one in; but she took no notice of what I said.

This went on for some five years. I could see a great improvement in my wife, but thought I did not need Christian Science myself. One day I was brought home with a very bad foot, the result of an accident that I had sustained some years before and which had given me a lot of trouble. The foot finally got so bad that I had to leave my work and come home. My wife and daughter wanted me to try Christian Science, but at first I would not listen to them. I finally gave in, however, and a practitioner was sent for. The results were marvelous. She came on Saturday, and on Wednesday I went up town; the following Monday I went to work, and felt no bad effects from it. It was then that the light of Truth was shown to me; I saw that I had something to live for, and I took up the study of Christian Science. I had always been a heavy user of tobacco and liquor, but these habits have been overcome with this healing truth, and innumerable blessings have come to us.

Christian Science has brought happiness in my home, and what seemed a gloomy outlook has changed to a brighter atmosphere. I am very thankful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful understanding of Truth, and I shall strive to live more of the truth which she has so lovingly taught us.—A. E. Pipe, Salt Lake City, Utah.
