I wish to express my gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. It is now over three years since my eyes were healed in Christian Science, through the faithful reading of the Sentinel, as I could not at that time afford a copy of Science and Health. I read all the testimonies, and saw clearly that as God had healed others, He would heal me, for He is no respecter of persons; and it was with me even as with the centurion to whom Christ Jesus said, "Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee." I accordingly laid aside my glasses in February, 1907, and have not needed them since. The oculist who had prescribed my glasses (one of the best in Chicago) told me that I had needed glasses since I was eight years old, and must wear them constantly, as mine was a bad case of defective vision.

Shortly after my healing, I wrote my testimony for the Sentinel, but was informed that it could not be published as it had not been properly indorsed. I was glad of this, for I saw how much care is taken in sending out these testimonies; that the aim is to "prove all things." The two years and a half that I wore glasses seem only a dream to me, now that I know the blessed reality of sight as spiritual. The above is just one of many ills of which Truth has healed me, and for all these blessings I am very grateful to our dear Leader for having shown us the real man and illuminating the Bible for us.
