The critic's statement that Mrs. Eddy has substituted for the worship of Christ the worship of health is beside the mark. Christian Science as taught by Mrs. Eddy includes salvation from sickness as well as from sin, but any one at all familiar with the subject knows that the healing of disease is the smallest part of Christian Science work. Christian Scientists, while thankful for the added sense for the sense of health and strength which their understanding of Christian Science gives them, are most grateful for the spiritual enlightenment and knowledge of God which they gain through the study of the Bible in the light of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Through this understanding they are able successfully to resist and overcome evil in themselves and others, and are daily proving the truth of Jesus' promises. Mrs. Eddy's practical explanation of Scriptural teachings has brought help and comfort to a vast number of people and has contributed to the world's good.
