AMONG THE CHURCHES

Rapid progress is being made in the erection of the new edifice of Third Church of Christ, Scientist, on Russell avenue, just east of Grand avenue. The church is being built upon a handsome lot with one hundred feet frontage by a depth of two hundred and twenty-five feet. The church proper will seat seven hundred and fifty, and the Sunday school room will seat four hundred and twenty-five more. The building will cost eighty thousand dollars, and will be a beautiful piece of architecture. Third Church was organized in June, 1906, and has been meeting at the B'Nai El Church, at Spring and Flad avenues. It is the fourth one to erect its own building. Those already built are the edifices of First Church of Christ, Scientist, at Kingshighway and McPherson avenue; Second Church of Christ, Scientist, on Washington avenue, between Pendleton avenue and Whittier streets, and Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist, on Page boulevard and Montclair place.
