As the Sentinel comes into our home week after week, and I read the helpful and beautiful thoughts of some of the earnest workers in the field of Christian Science, who have given of their store that in turn others may be blessed, I realize that I too must express my gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. Over five years ago I was healed in one treatment of an organic disease of several years' standing, and in a few weeks several functional disorders disappeared. From a miserable existence of semiinvalidism I have been restored to a happy, robust womanhood.

Since the physical healing I have been trying to prove my gratitude by daily study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and as I realize "that Truth is demonstrable when understood" (Science and Health, p. 323), new opportunities for progress open up before me and my joyousness can find expression only in demonstration of the truth. My constant desire is to eliminate from my thought all that is unlike God, good, and to become a more effectual instrument in the hands of divine Love to bring peace and gladness to hungering hearts. Thus can I best follow our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, as she follows Christ, and in this way be a witness to my gratitude for Christian Science.
