It gives me great pleasure to testify to the healing power of Truth. I came into Christian Science some ten years ago, through the healing of my mother of various nervous troubles, but it was not until August, 1909, that I had anything very serious to contend with, physically. I had evidently made a mistake in working out my problem, the result of which was a fever. I enlisted the services of a practitioner, as I was in business where the largest asset is time, and I did not want to waste any more of it than was necessary. At the end of three weeks I was well enough to go away to the country, where I remained for two weeks before going back to business. I went to business for a short time each day at first, but at no time during my illness did I spend the whole day in bed. To please my wife, who was not then a Scientist, I submitted to a medical examination, which confirmed the opinions of all my family, but which they did not wish to voice. When the examination reached the point where a sample of my blood was to be taken, I revolted and dismissed the doctor.

I suffered none of the after effects which are always claimed for this fever and fully ragained my strength within a very short time. For this and for many demonstrations in business matters I am deeply grateful.
