It is with the deepest gratitude that I send this testimony to what Christian Science has done for me in making life happy and harmonious. From childhood I had suffered a great deal from my eyes. It was necessary to have my glasses changed very often, and at these times, as well as on the occasions when I was so unfortunate as to break them, I suffered the most intense pain. I had been told that I must never expect to be able to go without glasses, and indeed I had no desire to do so, as my experiences in that direction had been so dearly bought. But in spite of the oculist's encouragement, that with constant care my eyes might become no worse, I found that as my school work grew more taxing my eyes were more troublesome.

In August, 1908, I asked aid from a Christian Science practitioner, hoping to be healed of a nervous trouble of long standing, said to have been caused by an acute attack of spinal disease at the age of five. I had little thought of my eyes at the time, although the practitioner told me that they, too, could be healed. Great was my joy, after the third treatment, to be able to go without my glasses for a few minutes at a time without suffering any pain. Soon I could go without them for an hour, to the great wonder of my friends. So it went on! First an hour, then two, and three; until at the end of my two weeks of treatment I had come to know that my eyes were whole, because God makes nothing that is imperfect; and that for the first time in thirteen long years I could wholly dispense with glasses.

The story of my healing is one common enough in Christian Science, but to me, as it must be to all who have received like proof, it is a very beautiful demonstration of the allness of God, good. For this healing and for many other demonstrations, I am very grateful to our dear Leader,
