A little over two years ago, and shortly after I began the study of Science and Health, our little boy, nine years of age, was taken ill with a fever. A practitioner was telephoned to the next morning, and in the evening the child seemed about the same. The practitioner then came, and after giving him treatment said that it would be necessary to notify the board of health. A physician was sent to diagnose the case, and pronounced it a serious throat disease; consequently we were quarantined. The child had only Christian Science treatment; he was, however, kept in bed nearly a week, but he did not seem to mind the confinement.

This healing to me was very beautiful, as before this we had relied on drugs for healing, my husband having been a graduate of a medical college, also having been in the drug business. None of our family of four have needed drugs since studying Christian Science, and although we know only a part of this truth that heals, we are progressing daily, as thought gradually changes. I have often desired to testify to the blessings received, and am glad to have this opportunity to do so. I am indeed thankful to God for the illumination of the Scriptures since I began this study.
