A feeling of deep gratitude impels me to tell of the sense of peace and the blessings which I have experienced through Christian Science. For two years I suffered with a throat trouble and constant colds, and although I consulted two physicians, the condition grew worse. It was difficult for me to talk on account of the great pain, and people could hardly understand what I said. Besides this, my stomach was so weak that I could take but little nourishment. While in this condition I heard of Christian Science, and a practitioner kindly took up treatment for me. My healing was slow, yet there was daily progress, and through patient work, combined with deepfelt gratitude, I began to discern the truth which makes us free.

I have had to do my share of the work during those two years of treatment, but my thought has been greatly changed thereby; it was a change from darkness to light. I have learned that the only true light is God, infinite Truth and Love, in whom we live; that Spirit is the sole reality, and that God is good,—All-in-all. Since treading these paths I have felt more happy and contented than ever before, and I thank our heavenly Father for this understanding of life, and our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the revelation of the truth.—Alwine Flügge, Hannover, Germany.
