To say that I am grateful for Christian Science is to...
To say that I am grateful for Christian Science is to express it mildly. I have depended upon it for healing for three years. I was for forty years troubled with so-called "milk-leg," with constant discharge; but this was healed in two weeks' treatment under Christian Science. Later, while on a visit in Ohio, I suffered from pains and swelling of the knees, caused I thought from going up and down stairs, as I had not been used to it. I wrote to a practitioner in my home town, and was quickly healed. This seemed marvelous to me, as I was so many miles away. Some time after this I had a severe attack of cold, and through relatives was persuaded to call in a physician. For three weeks I grew worse, was so weak that I could not sit up or eat anything, while the pain in my head was unbearable. I finally said that unless I had help soon I could not last long. A Christian Science practitioner was then called in, and after an hour I was up and dressed, and went to the table and ate a hearty supper. Other proofs of Truth's power were the healing of croup, severe pain in the eye, and throat trouble. All these were quickly overcome.
I am seventy-seven years old, and feel that I owe my good health to Christian Science, as I do all my work. I am certainly grateful to God, also to Mrs. Eddy, and my desire now is to be worthy to be called a Christian Scientist. I hope this will help some one who is struggling along in the material way.
Mrs. B. E. Taylor, Neodesha, Kan.
