It is with love and gratitude that I send my testimony to tell the many readers of our Christian Science literature what it has done for me. I had been suffering very much with rheumatic trouble and an eruption, besides many other ills that afflicted me very much for a few years. I did not employ doctors, as I knew they could not cure me. I tried medicine, but I could not get any relief that would last long.

About four years ago I became acquainted with Christian Science healing through some whom doctors could not help, and I thought I would see what it could do for me. I wrote to a practitioner, and took absent treatment. I also bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and found it very interesting. I did not understand it very well, but I tried to get all the good out of it I could, and it was not very long until many of the ills had left me. The rheumatism was slow to yield, but it left when Truth and Love took their place in my thought, and I can sincerely say, with many thanks, that I was healed through Christian Science. I gained in flesh and in strength, and now I am well, at seventy-seven years of age.

I am very grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for the physical healing and the many blessings and proofs I have had in the past; also for the peace of mind which has come to me. I am very thankful, too, for the understanding I have received of Christ, Truth, and how grateful we should be to Mrs. Eddy for her faithful and patient striving to enlighten humanity in the truth that makes us free. I have tried to live a Christian life for many years with what understanding I have, but I do not belong to any Christian Science church, as I am so far from any that I cannot attend. I have the Bible and Science and Health, however, also the Sentinel with our other literature, and I am trying to work out my own salvation by the light of truth.
