WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST

The abilities which God has bestowed upon man are inalienable. This truth is brought to light through Christian Science. Mortal sense, denying all progress, remains ignorant of man's true status as the child of an altogether good and intelligent creator. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes (p. 233): "Every day makes its demands upon us for higher proofs rather than professions of Christian power. These proofs consist solely in the destruction of sin, sickness, and death by the power of Spirit, as Jesus destroyed them. This is an element of progress, and progress is the law of God, whose law demands of us only what we can certainly fulfil."

When we understand and obey God's law, we can continually go forward, regardless of the insidious claims of error which would deceptively and aggressively point to lack of education or lack of experience, or to our being too young or too old, too timid, too poor, or even too rich to realize and express man's God-given talents and thus glorify God.

The fact of man's completeness, inclusive of all needed qualities for achieving all good, is securely based on the unchanging relationship of man to God as Father and son. Principle and idea. Reflecting divine power, one may image forth the limitless riches of infinite and eternal good and express the spontaneous, irresistible action of the Mind that is God.
