Many times I have been encouraged by reading in our periodicals about healings others have accomplished through Christian Science, and I should like to add mine, hoping it will help someone. At one time I had a condition which restricted freedom of action. One knee would slip out of place and let me down at the most inopportune times. The pain would be intense until I could get the knee in place again. A great sense of insecurity came with this condition, as I never knew when it was going to happen.

Since childhood I had relied on Christian Science for healing, so I turned to God and earnestly sought for help. I studied and thought about a statement on page 227 of Science and Health, where our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes, "The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being." This verse from Psalms was also very helpful (37:23): "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way." By using the Concordances to the Bible and to Mrs. Eddy's works, I found many other comforting and assuring truths. Soon I was free. I could swim, take long walks, or do whatever I wished.

While I am grateful for physical freedom, the freedom of thought and the realization of God's power are more wonderful than words can express. The love and patience of our Leader, as she waited for others to see and use this great truth regarding God and man, have been an inspiration to me through the years.
