Dedication of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Newport Beach, will be held December 11 at two services.

Christian Science had its beginning in the Newport Harbor area when a small group of students of Christian Science held meetings in private homes and in the Balboa Theatre on Main Street from 1916 to 1920. Later meetings were held in the Pavilion and the Women's Civic League room.
