I am grateful for the privilege of adding my testimony to the many which have appeared in the periodicals. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us (Science and Health, p. 269), "Metaphysics resolves things into thoughts, and exchanges the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul." I am grateful that I am learning to practice this method and to say in the words of Jesus (John 5:30), "I can of mine own self do nothing." I know it is God who does all.

When our four children were small, there were many healings and proofs of God's care, some with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. In later years there have been fewer difficulties to heal and more confidence in the protection Truth affords.

I became interested in Science through the encouragement of my parents and began earnest study when our first son was small. He was healed of mastoid infection. Some years later our second son was greatly protected when he was thrown from his motorcycle onto the pavement. Our older daughter had a large growth removed entirely by mental surgery. Our other daughter was healed of fits of ill temper which left her unconscious. Her healing came through my refusing to accept the testimony of the material senses or to be afraid.
