Progress in Church Building

"The right way wins the right of way, even the way of Truth and Love whereby all our debts are paid, mankind blessed, and God glorified." So writes our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, on page 232 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany," and the following experiences of two churches prove the truth of this statement.

A joyful letter received from a church which had just completed its building program reads:

"We have held the first services in our beautiful new church edifice with a full attendance, and the spirit of love and gratitude expressed makes this day a memorable one for us. The unfoldment of one aspect of our work may be of interest. Before beginning our building program we had to secure signatures from residents in our district permitting the construction of a church. Since these people had been assured that a suitable building would be erected, we sent out notices inviting all to come to see the church and go through it upon completion.
