During the year, the daily newspapers and other publications of the District of Columbia have published one hundred and thirty-three informative and reliable items, no unfriendly references, and four undesirable but not unfriendly statements.

The Monitor is popular with newspaper men of experience, as witnessed by the liberal number of articles and quotations from it appearing in the Washington daily papers. During the year, fifty-three of these articles were quoted in full or in part, credit being given to the Monitor in each case.
