Christian Science was presented to me at the passing on of a dear one, and it has proved a blessing many times since then. I had been reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for only a short time, when I suddenly realized that I was free from a pain in my right shoulder and arm, which had troubled me for years. This difficulty has never returned.

My children, four in number, have been protected from nearly all forms of sickness. They were quickly healed of measles, and never suffered any aftereffects.

While splitting wood, my eldest son, twelve years old, cut his thumb off at the first joint; but with the help of two friends and my own understanding, his hand healed beautifully and there was no pain at any time. We are truly thankful for this great blessing, and to the two kind friends who helped us to know the unreality of pain.
