Your correspondent, in today's Eastern Daily Press, shows concern that no challenge has been made by Christian Scientists to the statement in a recent lecture that "there is no authentic evidence to show that faith can cure organic disease." This concern is due to a misapprehension on your correspondent's part. Christian Science healing is not "faith-healing," though often confused with systems of that nature. Christian Science healing is accomplished through the understanding of spiritual law, the law of God, Spirit, Mind. Its rules have to be learned, understood, and practiced.

As human thought is thus brought into line with these rules of divine Principle, or God, it necessarily comes under the operation of His law of health and harmony. This enables Christian Science to heal both functional and organic disease, and to improve social and economic conditions by restoring a sense of harmony and well-being.
