[Written for the Sentinel]

"Be still, and know"

Oh, troubled one,
Thou art not asked
To labor and to toil,
Or some great task perform;
But just as Naaman,
Thou must humble and obedient be,
And quiet mortal thought—"be still,
And know" that God alone rules all.
Then shalt thou have that peace
Which passeth knowledge,
And sweet surcease
From all "the foam and fury
Of illegitimate living."Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 203.
