Almost five years ago my husband passed on, and for...
Almost five years ago my husband passed on, and for over a year I let sorrow, worry, and other conditions get the better of me, until I was in a very serious condition. I took treatments from Christian Science practitioners, but it was decided that I should go away from home for a while. I had the great pleasure of staying for three weeks at the Christian Science sanatorium; for which I am very grateful. It is certainly a wonderful home, and I saw much love and harmony manifested there. I should like to tell of one experience I had while there. My feet and limbs were so swollen that it hurt me to get into bed at night. One morning, as I was going through one of the halls, I met someone who asked me how I was getting along. I told her of my condition, and she said to me, "Oh! you do not need to worry about that!" What she said and the way she said it were a wonderful help; for the fear left me and also the condition. I had Christian Science treatment while I was away from home, and for three weeks after I got home. My healing was slow, but I can truthfully say that the truth as revealed in Christian Science does heal.
For the last twenty years the Great Physician has been my only help; and He never fails when sought in the right way. I am so grateful to God for sending Christian Science into my life; grateful to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her wonderful foresight in giving us the Christian Science sanatorium, and the Christian Science literature, which is such a comfort and help. I am also grateful to the practitioners.
