About fifteen years ago we had our first proof of the efficacy of Christian Science. It was at the birth of our little girl that my mother asked for the help of a loving practitioner whose understanding of the allness of God and the unreality of evil destroyed a discordant condition of the babe instantaneously. Since then God has been her only physician, and we have always found Him "a very present help in trouble."

With the loving help of practitioners and our own understanding of the omnipotence of God and of man's relationship to Him, many ills, among them tubercular glands, appendicitis, influenza, contagions, colds, ear trouble, inflamed and swollen eyes, shingles in the worst form, hernia, have been overcome. These healings have all been permanent, as it is several years since these troubles were met in Truth.

From a child I was reared in an orthodox church, my parents being devout workers; but I never felt satisfied with their explanation of God. After hearing of Christian Science through my mother, I attended the services, both Sunday and Wednesday evening, also some of the lectures; but not until the healing of our babe, previously mentioned, was I convinced that Christian Science was the truth which makes us free.
